Student Center Internships

Academics

All Graduate Interns earn a Masters Degree in Counseling with a concentration in Student Development in Higher Education. A total of 42 credits are required to complete the major. The academic program provides graduate students with insight into the theories and models used by student affairs professionals on a daily basis. Students can then apply this knowledge in their own interactions through the 35 hour per week internship.

Second year interns are required to complete a Capstone project as part of the course program. This course is team taught by a senior University Administrator and a member of the Student Activities/Student Center faculty. All students must also pass a comprehensive examination in order to fulfill their degree requirements.
